How byscento removes your data

byscento is a personal-data removal service. We find where your information is exposed, submit opt-out and deletion requests as your authorized agent, prove it with screenshots, and keep monitoring so it stays off.

Our source of truth: the official registry

Most of our broker coverage comes directly from the California Privacy Protection Agency (CPPA) data-broker registry - the legally-required public list of registered data brokers and their official opt-out channels. Using the authoritative source (rather than guesswork) means the brokers we act on are real and their opt-out methods are accurate.

How removal works

1. Discover - we scan people-search sites for listings that match you, with a screenshot of each one as proof.
2. Remove - we submit CCPA/CPRA opt-out and deletion requests as your signed authorized agent, across our verified broker list.
3. Verify - a fetch we couldn't complete is reported as "couldn't verify", never as "clean". We don't claim removals that didn't happen.
4. Monitor - brokers re-list data over time, so we re-scan and re-submit automatically instead of opting out just once.

Honesty

Data removal is a trust business, so we report it straight: broker counts distinguish covered from verified rather than inflating one number, and blocked scans are never shown as clean. This is your right to privacy under the CCPA/CPRA and other state laws - we just make exercising it automatic. Nothing here is legal advice.
